Hazelnut Cookies Recipe

Common pastries for CNY are Pineapple tarts, almond cookies, peanut cookies, etc. But let's break free from that and attempt a non-traditional bake - Hazelnut cookies.

These cookies remind me of nutella sans chocolate. And now the cookies are daunting me to dunk them in chocolate.

Which brings forth the idea to include chocolate chips or some dark chocolate bites inside these morsels. Go no further, I am salivating at that thought.

Ingredients
120g plain flour
75ml unflavoured oil
45g icing sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
50g ground hazelnut

Method
1. Sieve all dry ingredients together (flour, icing sugar, etc.)

2. Add in oil and form soft dough. If dough is too wet, add 1 tbsp of flour at one time till dough is "shapable". Divide dough into small balls of 8g. Roll them flatten tops slightly.

3. Bake in preheated oven at 170 degrees for 15-20 mins
